RoHS Compliance
Policy Statement
The European Union passed the RoHS Directive on January
27, 2003. This Directive mandates manufacturers to design electrical and
electronic equipment in a more environmentally friendly way.
Our component suppliers and manufacturers of electrical
and electronic products are actively working on, meeting, or in some cases
delivering products that meet this directive before the July 1 2006 deadline.
Norvell Electronics Inc. and its subsidiary, CTI would like to inform our
customers and suppliers of the actions we are taking to ensure that we fully
understand and comprehend the challenges presented by the enactment of the
European Directive on the Restriction of hazardous Substances (RoHS) and the
directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
Norvell has created a RoHS / WEEE Project Team to determine the impact of this
legislation across our business and that of our suppliers and of our customers.
We feel confident that we fully understand the potential implications of this
legislation, and that our component suppliers and manufacturers of electrical
products are actively working with regulations by the required phase-in date of
July 1, 2006.
We will be providing information as we receive it from
our suppliers to ensure you have the best view on how manufacturers are
complying with the RoHS Directive. Use the links below to go straight to each
manufacturer's statements on the migration to lead-free components.
